The Archive

Contributors add photographs to the archive. Each photo has a permanent address and a status: available for a new chapter, or currently held by a writer.

Taking Over

When a photo is available, anyone can purchase a takeover — a window of time during which you write the chapter. Choose how long you need:

Writing the Chapter

Your chapter is a title and a caption — your interpretation of the moment. Once your window closes, the next writer takes over and the photo's history grows.

The Journey

Every photo accumulates a timeline of chapters. Together they become the photo's journey — a record of how many ways the same image can be felt.
